Excercise and the impact on your hair
Today more than ever people are taking better care of their health through exercise. However, with this lifestyle choice there is becoming an increase in hair loss due to fungi living on the scalp. The problem many times lies in not shampooing our hair enough. When exercising, hair should be shampooed immediately to avoid the growth of fungus on the scalp. However that is not an option for many. So, what I suggest is to use the following items:
Cotton Swabs
Seabreeze Antiseptic
Antifungal Foot Spray (i.e. Lotimon, Tinactin)... Liquid Spray
Ketoconazole 2% (Nizoral Anti Dandruff Shampoo)
Natural Oasis Hair and Scalp Oil
After every workout, wet cotton swabs with Seabreeze and wipe your scalp to remove excess sweat. One to two times a week - spray your scalp with the Antifungal Foot Spray (do so in a well ventilated area). Antifungal spray is NOT a cure for Ringworms in the head, but it will help prevent the growth of fungus from spreading compared to doing nothing at all. It is important to shampoo your hair within 3- 5 days.
Shampoo, lather and let sit for 5 minutes, rinse and repeat a second time. African American hair most times lack natural moisture especially in a naturally curly state, so it’s important to return moisture to the scalp with an oil like Natural Oasis Hair and Scalp. Section your hair in 6-7 parts and lightly apply to the scalp. (For best results - Never apply before bedtime)
Stay hydrated and like my clients you will see better results with your hair.
